Little Sandy Bank Restoration Part 1
LITTLE SANDY BANK RESTORATION PROJECT
The Growing Greener Grant that OCTU was awarded , working through the Venango County Conservation District to restore the eroded bank just above the trestle on Little Sandy Creek, Venango County. This project was completed on September 27th 2010.
The project was engineered and designed by the PF&BC. Also the DCNR and the DEP assisted to make sure the project went well.
This project wouldn’t have happened without the dedicated help from the team at the Venango County Conservation District and some dedicated members with OCTU.
The project came in approx $11k + dollars and OCTU was to pay 17.5% of total costs minus any credit for IN-KIND work and/or material. Which OCTU exceeded the 17.5% IN-Kind by almost double. Which will allow OCTU to do other conservation projects with the money we saved.
